Our facility will evacuate at the first sound of thunder, siting of lightning or notification by weather alert of an unseen lightning strike within a 10 mile radius for 30 minutes. Each additional strike/sound adds 30 minutes to the closure. Lifeguard staff, pool management or supervisor may decide to close the pool in the event of prolonged storms.

Swimsuits must be worn in the pool. No cut-offs, street clothing or underclothing permitted.

Do not “hang out” or “mingle” with guards while they are on duty or around the pool office door.

Children under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult while at the pool.

Glass containers are strictly prohibited.

Use of alcohol, tobacco/nicotine or any illegal substance is not permitted in the pool area.

Unauthorized persons are not allowed on the lifeguard stands, in the office, or maintenance areas of the pool. Obey all “staff only signage.”

No abusive, offensive or profane language shall be permitted.

Dispose of any and all trash in provided receptacles.

No pets are allowed in the pool area. Service animals in control of their handler are permitted.

Childcare givers are responsible for all children in their care at all times.

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged property of any kind.

No diving allowed in our pools.

No flips, back jumps or back dives from any side of pool allowed.

No sitting, standing or hanging on the lane lines.

Any small child wearing diapers and using the pool must wear swim diapers.

Rafts, tubes, blow up toys or floatation devices are not allowed. (Exception for infants (baby ring) or float wings for small children in small pool only)

No outside food or drinks with the exception of water are allowed in the pool.

Purchased food and drinks are not permitted on the pool deck.

Large coolers are prohibited — small snack coolers are allowed. (ex. max capacity = 6 pack of soft drinks)

Non-swimmers must remain in shallow water (chest deep or less)

Use of cameras, video cameras, cell phones, or any device with camera/video capability is prohibited in bathrooms or changing facilities.

Any member of the pool staff or management may for reasons of health, safety and/or discipline, direct any person out of the pool area for violation of pool rules and/or unbecoming behavior.

Zero tolerance policy for physical violence/abuse. Sonterra Community Pool is a fun family environment. Any acts related to physical violence will result in immediate dismissal from the property for the season.

No patron or guest shall knowingly enter the pool, or permit a child or guest to do so, while suffering from any contagious disease, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, inflamed eyes, pink eye, colds, skin diseases, etc. while suffering from an open wound, sore, or abrasion, or who is wearing a bandage or bandages. Pool staff will be observing patrons and may ban from admission or eject a patron from the pool area.
